Salesforce Foundation and more progress

July 7th, 2009

We were excited when Steve Anderson from the Salesforce Foundation approached us. Check out this screencast he created. This is particularly awesome for us because it’s the first time someone from outside the organization was able to publish the tool and it’s successfully validating. Some of us will be meeting with Rem Hoffman of Exponent and Steve Wright ofSalesforce.com/foundation later this month to talk about ways we might work together. We are finding that approaching consultants to work with Grantsfire is an effective way to go.  We are pushing to make the GIFTS plug in ready to go too. Working with consultants is something we are focusing on right now as this helps with implementation. Stay tuned for a fully functional validator coming soon…

We’re back!

July 7th, 2009
And we’re back. After a brief blogging hiatus Grantsfire is back to give updates on our our work and to write about relevant issues in the technology and philanthropy sphere…or any other thought or idea that excites us. We’ve assembled a great team to push Grantsfire to its next level-Eugene Eric Kim, Principal and Cofounder of Blue Oxen Associates is working  with us now on adoption, Jason Ricci, Executive Director of Solpath (Grantsfire’s fiscal sponsor) and CIO of Energy Foundation is managing external relationships,  Casey West , an independent consultant and a Grantsfire programmer  is hammering out programming details that will help adoption go smoothly, Eugene Chan, Former CTO for ZeroDivide and now nonprofit technology consultant and avid photographer is working on the technical and relationship building side of things and  Kristin Barrali, managing editor of the Nonprofit Quarterly is helping keep communications moving.
Stay tuned here for new developments and more information.
